Two-piece wedding dress made of cream silk satin, ca. 1901. Origin: England. The bodice closes at the sides with hooks and eyes, creating the typical dove breast for these dresses. Long sleeves that end with a sophisticated cuff closure. In the area of the lower arm, the sleeves become puff sleeves. This is also typical of this period. High stand-up collar, neckline lined with net tulle. Two "straps" made of silk, which is folded, and lace. These cover the chest area. The skirt ends in a train. It is decorated with sections of hanging lace and silk ribbons. These decorate the front and side areas. The area of the train is left out. The dress is in very good condition, but has a few minor flaws: the lace in the stand-up collar is torn; the lace on the cuffs is probably missing, as is the lace that was attached over the tulle in the bust area. Two minor stains. Stains on the back of one sleeve (not visible). The brooch is not included.
